WIPA Partners with Equally Wed Pro as Pride Month Nears

(Scottsdale, AZ) — The Wedding International Professionals Association (WIPA) and Equally Wed Pro are pleased to announce a partnership to advance inclusivity initiatives in the events industry.

“WIPA is committed to allyship and we are thrilled to partner with Equally Wed Pro to enhance the educational opportunities provided to our members,” says Cindy Celis, WIPA International’s Director of Diversity + Inclusion. “Equally Wed and their educational platform, Equally Wed Pro, has been a steady voice advocating for the LGBTQ+ community in the wedding industry and we are honored to work alongside them to continue spreading their message.”

Founded in 2010, Equally Wed was created to offer a modern, elegant and unique guide to LGBTQ+ wedding planning by providing LGBTQ+ couples with inclusive resources and a directory of LGBTQ+ inclusive  professionals.  “There has always been—and continues to be—a need for inclusive media in the industry, and it’s our lifelong mission to provide a safe space for couples of all dynamics,” says Kirsten Palladino, Co-founder and Editorial Director of Equally Wed and Lead Educator at Equally Wed Pro. “Partnering with WIPA will help to spread the mission for inclusivity, and we look forward to engaging in thoughtful discussion about diversity and inclusion with members.”

Equally Wed Pro has generously donated a number of their certification courses to the organization, giving D+I committee members access to timely, inclusive curriculum in a combination of educational articles and videos. In addition, WIPA members will receive a member-only discount to Equally Wed Pro’s certification course, and Palladino will also be working closely with WIPA Education on a joint virtual webinar for its members.
