LP Creative Events welcomed Ashley Cunningham, BOD member for Colorado, as a full-time employee. Loni Peterson, Owner of LP Creative Events, is currently teaching Non-Profit Special Event Planning at the University of Denver in the graduate school for the winter quarter and Strategic Communication Campaigns Capstone course at the University of Colorado Boulder for the spring semester. She has taught at both universities for the last 4 years.
Celebrity Wedding Officiant Alan Katz owner of Great Officiants made the news again on for his $14 Valentine’s Day wedding ceremonies special at his Wedding Chapel. The Helpful Honda people were there and gave out 2 $2500 honeymoons to his couples. This was captured on Channel 7 news. Alan Also booked a speaking engagement for the New Orleans chapter of WIPA on April 21st. He will be taking about is favorite topic “How to Get 5 Star Reviews. Alan will also set a company record for the most weddings done in one day. On 2-22-22, he and his officiants will have done over 50 weddings on that single day.
Act 3 Catering has been selected as a 2022 winner of The Knot Best of Weddings, an accolade representing the highest- and most-rated wedding professionals as reviewed by real couples, their families and wedding guests on The Knot, a leading all in one wedding planning destination. This is the 6th year ACT 3 has been named a winner of The Knot Best of Weddings awards.
Meghan Ely of OFD Consulting rounds up experts for her articles, ‘Vendor Communication for Event Layout Changes’ on Allseated and ‘Navigating Omicron: What You Need to Know for Your 2022 Wedding’ on Love Inc. She also shares the ‘First 10 Must Do’s for a 2022 Wedding’ on Popped! and ‘Professionals’ Best Tips for Collecting Wedding Inspiration’ on Storyboard Wedding.

Gene & Georgetti’s old-school atmosphere is the real thing: it’s been serving steak and chops and red-sauce Italian classics in its wood-paneled dining room in River North for more than 80 years. There’s probably no better restaurant in Chicago to re-create the spaghetti-slurping scene from Lady and the Tramp.
